So on one end one Syrotech media converter converts electrical to optical signal .As optical signal can transmits a long distance so throught OFC data transmits and on the other end again Syrotech media converter connected to fiber and converts the optical to electrical signal.

Syrotech Media Converter 10/100 Single fiber 20 km translates the signal from a twist-pair 10/100Base-TX cable to 100Base-FX fiber optic cable and therefore extends data transmission distance from 100m via copper cables to 20km by single fiber.
